    Passenger Footpeg help needed

    Hey gang!

I bought two pairs of Kuryakyn Premium Mini-boards to put on the F6B. Decided to put the passenger boards on first... uh... hmmm... don't work. The ball-bearing assembly that controls the passenger foot peg movement (lock up or down) isn't compatible with the typical "spring" assembly of the rider foot pegs. I'd love to get some opinions. Here's what I'm considering:

    1. Modifying the assembly to a spring type, and leaving the passenger boards in the down position all the time.
    2. Looking for another passenger peg that will compliment the front boards in terms of style (black). Haven't found any yet.
    3. Putting the unopened Kuryakyn's up on the classified section and admitting defeat... for now.
    4. ???

What would you do? Thanks for your opinions.

    Spline

The spline is too wide for the passenger slot anyway... no mods here. If you find any cool passenger foot pegs, please let me know. Thanks.

You can get the same mini board without the 'comfort cruise' mount.

You'll need F6B-specific passenger peg adapters. The adapter itself won't be black.

    Looks like pn 8807:

    Great!

    Scotrod,

Thanks very much! That's exactly why this forum is awesome.

I'll just remove the existing splines and order the bike specific ones, and I'm in business.

    Cool beans!

Might even consider selling the drop mounts here on the forum. (Or, perhaps do a 'pay it forward' gesture.)

    Somebody could probably use 'em,,,

    Parts

Yeah... After working on accessories for a few days, I have a small collection of OEM parts. Perhaps, when I'm done, I'll put the list on Classifieds for folks who might have lost or scratched something and need a replacement... Maybe just for the price of shipping it. Good idea.

BTW, I posted about your new bike... When I picked mine up, they had just rolled yours out onto the floor. Really deep color, and a nice custom effect. The guy who was with me liked it too, but he's still aiming for one of those orange ones. We were wishing they'd put it out in the sun to see how it looked, but we didn't feel it was appropriate to ask them. Bet it shines.

    Wife

I'll let you know how the wife likes them when she gives it a try... but it may take a while. She rides her own bike, and does NOT like riding on the back of mine. Ha

Ha!! Funny. Fortunately, I found the one for me. Married 32 years and counting. She rides well, picks out my guitars, and looks darn cute.
