    Pa. trip

Picked up by the rest of the crew,10, @Kwik Trip, I94 & 128 Wi., Thursday @ 8am,reached our 1st motel after being on the road 630 miles and 12 hours later. Reached Lanz Corners Pa, Friday after noon. Put in 200 miles on Saturday, 120 today. Tomorrow is moving day, heading to Slate Run Pa., for three nights. A lot of tree lined winding roads, made some ventures in to the Allegany Forest but not all that impressed, best thing so far was the Kinza Bridge, check it out w/Google, interesting.
A little over 1,400 miles so far. Went to Yellowstone w/this crew last year, was awe struck, not so much , so far.

Yepper Choptop, totally different topography over here.
You have a few caverns south of you; Indian Caverns, Lincoln Caverns and Penns Cave. A few wineries as well.
Penn State has an arboretum if you like to see that.
Other than that, More windy roads on hills and valleys.
If you're into guns and such, in Clearfield, Pa. there is Grice's Gun shop. Huge gun shop.
Also if you're down there, stop in to Denny's Beer Barrel Inn. fantastic food and burgers big enough to more than fill all 10 of you.(just one burger!)

PA is a great state for riding. About 13 of us can attest to that from yesterday's meet. Too bad some of this ride couldn't have crossed paths....
“Gibraltar” 2016 white deluxe has been sold.

Monday was moving day from Lanz Corners to Slate Run Pa., appx 150 miles. All went well till the ride leaders gps took us down a "scenic" short cut, appx 25 miles, that started out with a good road that got progressively worse and then turned into a 7 mile, 1 lane dirt logging road. You had about 1 1/2 ' of some what and sometimes packed gravel/dirt, on either side of the gravel center hump, me pulling a fully loaded trailer and everyone else fully packed at the end of a long day. !0 - 15 mph and the feeling that one misstep would put you in the ditch w/ a 800 + pound bike on one side or down a ravine on the other, and if the little signs that told us to watch out for lumber trucks produced one, we were fckd ! Can laugh about it now but not so much at the time.

Plenty of beautiful winding roads in Pa. and little towns to pass threw. Conveniences, were we are at are few and far in between. Our motel is nice but their wifi is spotty at best and I can not make any calls, texting is hit or miss. restoutant, Black Forest Inn, has good food but opens at 11, closes at 9:30 pm. 9 miles either way for anything else.

Tomorrow is a moving/travel day on our way to St.Ignace in the Michigan U.P. will go as far as we can tomorrow and over night some were arriving at St. Ignace on Friday.

Life is good and so is the F6b.

Home Sweet Home, got back from the Pa trip a couple of hours ago, a little over 3,000 miles in 9 days. A few personal observations, Ask more questions about the agenda before you sign on. The old body may not like a 600 mile/12 hour travel day, but it can still do it. Push threw the fog of a 8 hour 75 mph+ hot day ride and bypass Flint Mi and go a little farther for that motel. lol Hotel 6 has turned into a dive.
The Mackinac bridge is not that bad. Deer are stupid.

All in all, it was a good trip, the roads in Pa were nice, shtloads of twisties, but it did not hold a candle to last years Yellowstone trip. Although convenient and a no brainer, I am threw w/following someone around the country and living by their agenda. The F6b and the Bushtec performed flawlessly, I could not be happier w/either.

Now to get ready for Sturgis in a month.
