US Navy, '70 - '74, E3 storekeeper attached to MCB 133 out of Gulfport Ms. At times I wish I had stayed in, would have easily been an Admiral by now.

LOL! You do know that Phrogs are kinda like a 52' Pan Head. nice to look at, nice to listen to, but useless except for carrying mail and chow (not both at same time either). LOL! Gotta love em' though!! A whole handful of special blue pills couldn't keep one up for more than 15 minutes!

I'll be sure not to tell my husband that (crowd killer and Phrog Pilot extrodinare).

Nothing hovers better than the Phrog.
Notice that there is nothing under the nose wheel.

    ...except a 53!

Did that "nose wheel got nothing" maneuver many times with CH-53Ds and CH-53Es - at altitudes which a 46 would perish.
Even hovered an MH-53J Pave Low at 10,000 feet just because!

The Phrog was a great machine in its heyday...but not so much since 1969. And yes, I have over 100 hours in Phrogs.

    Happy 239th Birthday, MSGT!

US Army, 11 active, 17 reserves. Vietnam to Desert Storm. I think they pay me more now in retirement than they ever did on active duty...and so far Obummercare hasn't screwed with the medical coverage.
