42 years and still serving.
...ok, the first 18 of those I was a brat, son of an Army SGM. Then 5 Active, 2 Reserves with a trip to Gulf I, 9 National Guard, (7 year break-in-service), 5 and counting (current) Reservist with a trip to Logar Province (FOB Shank Afghanistan.) To all my fellow brothers in uniform, a mighty salute. I don't believe in interservice rivalries. My motto is One Team, One Fight. Last tour I worked with special operators from MARSOC, SEALS, and SF. Outfuckinstanding professionalism from all.....best year of my life from a professional military perspective.

Veterans, check your area for military rites teams. They can always use help. Being retired and able to serve with just a days notice is desirable. Personally I can't think of a better way to thank a brother.
