    GL1800 Tunnel Filters

Anyone using the GL1800 Tunnel Filters on their F6B? Found them on Amazon by accident! Not sure if they would have a impact on the overall cooling! There are several sources for them with prices as low as $15.00 per set!

    Here's a pic!

They supposedly help eliminate "buffeting" and cut down on bugs

I got them, installed them and then removed them and tossed in garbage. I did not like the fact that they would become dislodged and then have to reset them. Not worth the price or annoyance.

Thanks for the quick feedback! You just saved me $15.00.

Bob,,,, I made a set myself and even in this heat I have no temp issues. I have noticed a big difference in air passing my face which is the reason why I keep them.

    For what it is worth..........
To give you an idea why I care about wind in my face you only need to look at my beard. Pictured here with my daughters a year or so ago (it's a bit longer now)
Without the tunnel fillers the wind would come up from around the bars and push my beard in my face at highway speeds. A bit annoying to say the least !!!! With the tunnel fillers it stays down and no problem.
I've spent most my money on Motorcycles and Women, the rest I just wasted.

P.S. when I made mine I stacked multiple layers if 2" foam and glued them together. They have been in for a year or so now.
If the link works it will show you the dimensions to cut your own thanks to Steve Saunders.

I have a set and had them in for over a year without a problem. I removed them recently to install LED headlights.

They are also supposed to help block some road noise. I give them a thumbs up.
