    Modified custom seat

Instead of buying an Ultimate king or Mustang or RDL and ship the seat from the US to France I decided to talk to my local upholstery workshop who makes very nice seats for motorcycles and who have quite some experience. Located only 10mi from my home.

We agreed on what I wanted: 2,5" more seat height for the rider and put rider seating position 2,5" back. So more room for my legs as I felt cramped with the stock seat after a few hours of saddle time. Now my knee angle is perfect and my legs are more stretched. They are almost completely stretched when using my Ergo III pegs. The pilloin is 0,8" shorter but there is still far enough space for my wife. They used various layers of foam with different density and the seat is very comfortable and plush altough it looks more firm than the stocker.
I left the bike in their workshop for 2 weeks in total. Price was 400$.
After a week I came back and tried the uncovered seat, took the bike for a good hour ride. Had some minor modifications made and now a week later the seat was finished.
I am very pleased with the result, my riding position has improved enormously. But now I need to put the bars about 2 to 3" higher, guess I need spacers. Or Heli's.

    Here are the pics:

    Looks Good!
I'd rather be on my bike thinking about God than in church thinking about my bike.

Very nice job. As you get a few thousand on it, let us know. But, you going to an upholstery shop was a great idea. And I believe that to be a reasonable price, and NO shipping!!!!
