Hey, I'm thinking of trying ride year round for the first time since... oh, 1976 or so. Mind you, still only on nice days, but weather has a way of turning suddenly and quickly around here. Anyone change out to something of a "snow tire" for winter riding? I was looking at my son's 1980 GS750 the other day and it's almost knobby period correct tires compared to our almost treadless ones got me thinking. Also, going back to that guy with all the gravel problems, I wonder if they'd help that way too. Yes, I know you'd be greatly impacting ride and performance. So I'm not thinking of them as a year round thing... unless that gravel thing panned out super well.
