Has anyone done or seen a way to light up the inside of the luggage area?

Here is an old thread on how I did mine.
The sensor switches are already there. You need to add power and some sort of lighting. LED's are good for this. And the top inside panel easily removes so you can add your lights there.

I used some small battery powered LED Auto Motion Sensor Lights that I got from Amazon. Used velcro to mount them inside saddlebags so I can remove them to replace batteries easier. If you put decent batteries in them they last a very long time.

This is how my bags look inside.
Ok thanks everyone for the tips and 98 Valk thanks for the great write up. For now(since my electrical skills are just ok) I'm going to try the motion led's because for me it is fast and simple. But when I have more time I will do what 98Valk did.
I used Leds from Advance Auto parts with the white back ground, much brighter than the ones with black back ground, ran a hot with a fuse, and used the switch in the bag for the ground,
so when bags open light comes on price for lights $34.95.
I used three on each bag.
