Deleting messages

I had too many messages in my in box and needed to delete some to make room to receive more. I tried to delete select messages but ended up deleting them all... Is there a way to only delete select messages.

To clarify, are you talking about the private messages inbox here, or your personal email?

DMA,
On the right side of your messages, you'll see this:
Attachment 21511


Click in the checkbox the messages you want to Delete.

Then lower on that screen, click on the Pull Down menu titles "Selected Messages."

Click the Delete button and then click on Proceed.

Thanks for the added pictures.
I thought that was what I did. I went along and checked off the ones I wanted to delete but when I hit delete it cleaned out the entire in box. Once I have a few messages back in there I will try again and see what I did wrong. Thanks again for the help!!!
