    In the ditch

Every Tuesday a small group of us retired guys go for a ride, well this one lasted about an hour.
I was the leader and all of a sudden there was only one bike behind me. So we maked a U-turn and at the bottom of the hill all the other guys were parked. But one was in the ditch. Not good.
So he didn't make the curve at the bottom of the hill he should have but he didn't. We were doing about 45 mph. The guy behind him said he flew about 6 feet in the air and landed on his head he was wearing a helmet. He doesn't remember anything that he does have some bleeding on the brain hopefully he'll be OK he was in good spirits

It just takes a second...brain slips to neutral, lack of focus and boom! Hope all is okay...now he will be able to get a wing !!!

    Just a moment of time

Is all it takes for things like that to happen and he is very lucky to not be more hurt than he is. Glad to hear he is recovering some don't get the chance!

Phew. Glad he is okay. Not one person has ever maintained 100% focus during any extended ride. Not any ride requires 100% focus. When the time of required focus arrives and your focus is not there, this can easily happen. To any of us, no matter how skilled or experienced.

Best wishes to him. I am sure he saw his life flash before his eyes.

On a side note, I feel much safer on my F6B than I did on my VStar cruisers. The bike's visibility to other drivers, but also the superior handling and braking makes me feel I can ride out many more situations than I could on my Yamahas.
    Former Ride:

    Latest Addition:
2016 Gold Wing Level 3, red; SCT transmission stuck in manual mode
    2019 Miles:
    7,900 as of 10/6
