Does anyone recall which magazine write up labeled the F6B as a "heavy cruiser" a few years ago?
I thought that was so appropriate.
"1.21 gigawatts?! 1.21 GIGAWATTS??! Great Scott!!"
Where does my RUNE come in....I am ready to rock and roll.....
I'm guessing the rune, valk, F6B and GL are all pretty close. I guess the valk fits the cruiser category best and prob the lightest so possibly the quickest.
My Valk dynoed at 97 hp. Both of my F6Bs, 2013 and 2014 at 104 hp. My Valk saw 130 mph. I quite, it had more left in it. With the difference in power to weight ratios both bikes were very close to each other. The only real difference between the two was cornering clearances. That I discovered the very first hour of owning my F6B. Made my normal left hand flip onto the freeway entrance ramp and promptly ripped my foot off the peg and almost under the saddle bag. Ankle and knee hurt for a day.
Don't think you could call the RUNE or The Valk. a bagger... no bags. Maybe big cruisers? I would say Yamaha's V-Max is more of a drag bike. The older ones would turn in the 11's out of the box, new one's should be faster..... Many years ago, my baby brother, had a new (back then) V-Max, it was wicked fast. He said it was uncomfortable after 30-45 minutes.
My 85 v-max was very uncomfortable. I put a Corbin seat on and it helped a little. Corbin is so hard.
It only weighted 650lb and the power (142hp at the crank) was effortless. But it loved the highway on long cruses, as does the B.
If I could have had a comfortable seat, I never would have got rid of it.
The internet says the 2013 B Has 117hp and 125 ft lbs torque.
Anytime you have more torque that hp, you have a runner!
ITS ALL GOOD
