Think a 1800 engine can last many miles?

I saw that post on the other site and the post stated he changes oil every 10000
miles and I believe the filter at 5000 miles this is truly the greatest engine for touring
ever put on two wheels.

I wonder how he changes the filter without all the oil falling out.
