I've used this bag for 5 years now and it holds (a ton) enough for my girlfriend and I on 10 day trips. Saddlemen has smaller versions if you prefer. If you look at the photos a variety of high quality straps come with the bag for almost any type of seat or luggage rack mounting.

I don't own it yet, but my plan is a Motofizz from Aerostich.

Thanks guys -- those look like great ideas! Taking some notes on sizes and looking around. Will also browse around some local shops here as well, to see what they may have.
I use the Tourmaster Elite Tail bag. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BYQDCWM/...0MV6GU2C&psc=1

I use this bag from Saddlemen:

It has an extension handle and is on wheels so it's versatile and can be used when flying as well. It also has a sleeve which also will fit over more traditional sissy bars. I don't use that of course.
It has a raincover and straps snugly onto the grab handles. I've used it since 2009 on all my trips and it's successfully handled about 15,000+ miles through all kind of weather.

I recently used this Rothco Parachute Bag 24"x15"x13" for a 10 day, 5,381 mile camping trip. $21 to my door. Another $10 to spray it down w/ water repellent. It was my first attempt at motorcycle camping (I had a blast) so I considered it a starter bag. I'm satisfied with the bag for now, eventually I'll upgrade to something more water resistant, reflective and hopefully smaller as I downsize my equipment to just take the minimum.
