I have had a V-Rod, Screamin Eagle Fat Boy, and Road King Custom. I purchased my '13 F6B Deluxe for $13,999 Bartlesville Cycle Sports in Bartlesville, OK. They also happen to be a HD dealer as well. The F6b is an amazing bike even when compared to the HD. It is much smoother, faster, corners better, and is more comfortable and easier to drive than any of the HD's I've had. The downside....the paint and you will notice that Honda sometimes uses plastic for some of its smaller bits and parts whereas HD will make them out of metal/chrome so they can charge you another "HD" ($100).
Not a bad price if they offer $18.600 OTD...and your satisfied with what they are offering on your HD Softail..I traded a Victory Vision in on my 2013 Deluxe and got a really fair trade so I cannot address what the 'HD is worth...In any event, you will not go wrong with the F6B and will wonder why you waited so long...If your okay with the dealer, and the deal, it really does not matter what others feel is a better deal as someone will post what they think is better...Follow your heart and all with be well.....
Coming off a Street Glide the F6B is a totally different machine.
As far as ride you will not miss either of your H-D's.
Miss that classic rumble at times but find I'm enjoying the quiet smoothness more and more with every ride.
I came off an ultra classic, and by far this is the best idea I had in a long time. I've had my 6 for about 3 months and put the miles that I normally put in a year on the bike. I still have an older fat boy, but that gets out less and less. I don't think you would be sorry for the change, just the power is enough to keep you on your toes. I am completely happy with the change.
Everybody should own or ride a Harley at LEAST once in their lives... but for day-in, day-out, long-haul, and sport riding... the F6 can't be beat.
The paint issue is not that it looks bad... it's that there's no clearcoat and so some of the paint comes off when buffing. People here are big on Liquid Glass to protect the paint. I used OptiCoat 2.0... which is essentially a DIY clear coat.

Take a look at this chain. Prices are dropping.
I sold my 2011 Road Glide Ultra after a sweet ride , my third to Sturgis, from East coast of Florida. I'll never look Back, 4 quarts of oil and a filter every 10k, I use Amsoill 20/50, so much easier then 3 seperate oil changes on Harley. I have has 3 Gold Wings but they were top heavy and I'm 65 now, I have a Kawasaki Z1000 sit up sport bike when I feel like scaring my self, but I love my F6B.
added Satellite Radio and I'm off to EVERY WHERE !!!!! 129 here I come !!!!!NE Georgia is a great starting place to ride for ever !

Never owned one, but drove a few. A mid-90's Electra-Glide. What a dog. Twisting the throttle only made it louder, not go faster.
Then a '13 ElectraGlide Ultra Classic or something like that, with Stage 1 pipes, intake, etc. It went a little faster, was a little louder, but same old, same old. That is what convinced me to try a 'B. Never looked back.
