I agree that the profile is handsome. The devil is in the details though. That's where the ugly creeps in.
Ugly. I guess that BMW engineers used first manual of u-boot designing issued by Kriegsmarine in 1936 :-)
Hahah, wood panels?! Really?!
Looks like a Victory bagger----not hard to see where they got their design idea. Bars are different, bags are smaller and the fairing is frame mounted and the lines are sharper. Looks like a first cousin of a Cross Country.

Its got the "big front wheel", which should appeal to the Sturgis cruiser crowd. Not saying that a big wheel is bad, just saying. Expect to pay $$$ for a front tire replacement.
This reminds me of the old Infiniti car commercials where they spent more time not showing the vehicle than showing it. In a 3:01 commercial it may have had 30 full seconds, maybe 45 of air time.
It is still in the concept stage and alot of things will be changed before production. I would be surprised if the wood and leather makes the final cut but then again BMW is not afraid to mix it up. Rear fender/bags could flow together better. Bags could be a bit deeper. Not really liking the sharp turn of the exhaust. Engine side cowls would be a nice functional addition. BMW has produced some of the fugliest bikes I've ever seen but, with a little refinement, this bike could be a contender.
