Right Hand Pocket missing ... ??

So ... On my 2001 Wing, the key on the faring opens the door just below the right hand grip.

On the 6 ... the place exists, but it's hollow. And, the key opens the middle "pouch".

What's below the right side area where the original door was? And, why is it not something we can open and store stuff inside?

I do believe the cruise control lives under there on the 2015 models.....

I've only had the bike a couple weeks. And, that's the way these MBs go. New folks ask the same/same questions and get the same/same answers.

Or, someone tells them to go search.
