Instrumentation lighting

I know the lighting used in the instrumentation cluster is LEDs, probably soldered in, has anyone ever attempted to change these to red or Amber either by replacing or covering the LEDs?

Does anybody have to have the part number or specifications for the LEDs? I build circuit boards, so de soldering a couple LEDs is within my capabilities
