Soooo, did I miss something? How the heck did this support break?

This support broke and can brake from the bike going down. Im the second owner of mine and I never noticed that the crash bar had been bent until I went to install highway pegs. This support is aluminum and has 2 spots that can break upon impact from what I have been able to read. This support holds the bottom feet of the crash bar and really is there to save block damage to the engine. Update talked to my dealer can be replaced in a couple of hours. Bike is also safe to ride. I feel a little better now. Still kind of mad at myself for not noticing this when I bought the bike. But live and learn. The bottom of the crash guard had some rash on it but not so you would think the bracket was brokenSoooo, did I miss something? How the heck did this support break?. Al
