After watching George's untimely transmission issue, I decided that $499 + tax was truly goodness.
I'll be following suit Steve, and getting as much warranty coverage as I can.

Btw I just stopped by my dealer and they were kind enough to give me a printout of the parts list; I'll update the other thread with this data.

    Great Job!
I shaved mine as well, those foundry marks looked sloppy, I thought I was the only one who would file down and polish the non-visible side.
Mine got primed then painted with truck bed liner, but I like the finish on yours much better.

Had it serviced, rode it, got rained on and scored a set of passenger floorboards from an EBay auction.

I'm using those same switches and it's a pretty good choice. The waterproof claim is not totally accurate but they do seem to have some resistance to casual water. If you mount these on a horizontal surface that is exposed to water, they will short out but will work again when they dry out. I haven't had that problem with the switches mounted vertically or where they are protected from direct exposure to water.

Took the wifey for her first long ride (on the F6B) and bought a Service Manual from HelmInc.com.

Shield, tour pak base and P&P HIDs are next on the list (with GPS & radar mount following).
