    Added Garmin 595lm GPS

Installed last night and wired power to the fuse block. Was easier than I thought.
I snapped off the top clip of the side Tupperware covering the fuse block. Hopefully not an issue. Anyone else done this? I was soo pissed.

I'm hoping this state of the art GPS will help me with some exploring.
I'm intrigued by the adventurous routes option.
Seems overly rich in options. Not sure what to do with all the choices in options.

Hope she was worth the money.

$1380 with taxes up here in the land of exchange rate rippoff farce, Canada.

    Time will tell.

Looking forward to some adventures that's for sure.

    MBL Risers

I got the standard version of the MBL risers installed today. These bring my hands up, back and in.

I like having them higher and farther back - allows me to sit upright and I can even feel the lumbar support on my Corbin seat now.
I'm 5'7" so really needed the bars to come back.

Not sure I like having my hands closer together, though.
I'll give it some time, but already thinking that maybe I should have ordered the wide version.

Still, it feels like a big improvement over the stock position for me.

    Rode It!

Had to see how old I really am!
Left Detroit at 5:00am, went up to Whitefish Point in the U.P.
Had to stop for some smoked Lake Superior Whitefish.
There was a bit of a temperature drop after I passed the 45th parallel.
Arrived back in Detoit at 7:30pm, 763 miles.
Not too bad for an old guy!

USPS delivered today on Sunday! Holy smokes when did pigs start flying?

Installed left cubby USB 2 port aux. socket. Of course one of the push pins went tink tink tink, deep into the underbelly. #*%€ Ran to Autozone and bought a package of Ford grill push pins to replace what I lost. After that installed a black belly pan. I noticed a huge difference in stability from crosswinds.

Checked the rear drive train oil. All full. Crankcase oil looks clean too.

Stevenolts on another thread mentioned a Harley air circulator pad, but I made my own from a spare seat cushion from Costco. Works great and only cost me $21.

Gave my 6 a nice TLC bath. Had 1600 miles of dried bugs to clean off, from the past week. Now, to find some fresh bugs!

Rode from St. Louis to Amarillo TX, laying in tent a KOA getting rained on and trying to keep the tent intact. Ground is too rocky for tent stakes. Gives me something to do between listening to the fireworks in the adjacent field, freight trains blowing their horns 1/8 mile away, and what sounded like every squad car in the area racing around with their sirens on. Great shower though. Will sleep late and arrive late to Moab.
Between the beaded seat and faux back rest I don't feel like I've been riding all day. I've never ridden with a backrest, now I know what all the hubbub is about.

Was a busy boy today. Working in my southwest desert heated garage, trying to ignore a hangover, I actually installed my Helibars, JBL GTO638 speakers, Superled flashing red lamps, and reset the ECU. I be proud and sheeit.
