    First long ride

I bought my F6B 5 weeks ago and as things go I've had little time to ride
I have about 1400 miles on it.
But on Thursday I'm going for 4 day ride! I'm going with 2 other guys one has a Goldwing the other has a Valkyrie Interstate.
I am south of Green Bay Wis and we are going north up to Lake Superior and then west to Min. Then we will go south along the Mississippi River to southern Wis. On Sunday head home. On Monday I think I will be washing the bike.

Great time of year for that ride. Visited the Duluth area around this time last year.

Have a good time and ride safe. I left last Tuesday for a ride out to Idaho and got caught in the big winter storm in South Dakota. I stopped in Rapid City about 3:00 am on Wednesday because of the wind and the pouring rain was
changing to snow and the temp was down in the low 30's. I stayed warm and dry and the bike ran great. The wind was gusting over 40 and was a straight crosswind which blew me around pretty good. I ended up turning around and coming home due to too much more in the mountains where I was going to cross. All in all, 1500+ miles in two days of heavy rain, strong winds and some snow thrown in. When I got to La Crosse and the rode starts turning more south my gas mileage went up to 49.8 mpg. Prior to that I was getting around 44 mpg even with all the wind.

Sounds good. We could still run up to Door Co this year or the Kettle.

Do Door County for me. Just missed my 50 yr class reunion in Sturgeon Bay. Was stuck here in Alaska doing home repairs before winter. I miss that part of the world in the Fall. Enjoy.
