Mate had me a couple
The Go-Pro was junk cause just too hard to use with gloves and no remote
Got me a Drift X170 with a remote and it handles stills and Video not a problem and you can change between stills and Video on the run
I have the camera mounted on the far right hand side of my Farkle dash on a Ram Mount that is lying down normally to use on the handlebars ??
The remote is mounted on top of the Clutch Fluid reservoir with Velcro

Sony's action cam, the AS 20 has image stabilization and lists $200, got it for $100 on Black Friday at Best Buy, they're still marked down at Best Buy at $169. The remote for it is also on sale at BB and Sony's website. If you chose this cam, Amazon has an adapter if you want to use Hero's line of full mounts. Haven't shot any vid yet, will let you know. It is much small than the Hero. BB is a good place to get Sony's camera gear, since their prices match Sony's site and they're interest free 6 month finaincing works for me (too well unfortuantly).
As to the original ?, I've seen some handlebar Ram style mounts that have extended brackets that will put it over or around some ws. Sorry I don't have a mfg or part #.

Has anyone found a good way to mount a video cam to the stock F6B? I have one that fits on my helmet but it can get in the way of my head movements. THank you for your feedback.

I have mine on my helmet. With the tinted visor down, it does get in view a bit, but it's nowhere as jerky as when I tried the camera on the bike itself (although at the time, I wasn't on an f6).

Went through an accident that had just happened. You can hear someone's horn stuck on as we rode through. Also a lot of wind noise. I turned the mic down afterwards so it wouldn't be quite as obnoxious. This is a Contour Roam camera.

Looks good but are you sure the front fender won't hit that camera if you ever fully compress the forks. If you'll notice, even that plastic piece under the headlights is contoured to match the front fender. I'm not saying this is definitely a problem but I do have a concern.
