Any vehicle that requires water to run had better have a damn good filtration system if it's coming out of that river.

I remember watching a TV show staring bike builder Jesse James attempting to break the land speed record in a hydrogen car that he built himself. The most enlightening part of the show was when he stated to the camera: "Of course they can make cars that run off of water if they wanted to. Here I am, just some average guy, plain old mechanic, building one in his shop."

Also, it doesn't run on hydrogen pulled from water in the vehicle itself. Big difference.
The hydrogen is stored at 5,000 PSI in three tanks
