Made it to the Javits center Saturday for the show, one of the vendors was "Condor". They have a dolly that looked well made, holds the bike vertically, and doesn't seem to take up more space in any direction than the bike itself. I searched here and couldn't find any mention. Anyone here see one? They also make chocks and trailer stuff...even a pretty trick trailer!

Last year about this time I researched all the available dollys that I could find. Condor was not one of those. This is the first I've heard of them.
Most of what I did find were either not long enough for an F6B...or appeared terribly flimsy and not likely to hold the weight over a lifetime of use There were one or two which looked like they might work. They were both in the same price range as this one. This one DOES appear to be more robust than any of those I found.
I do have to wonder, though. It appears that once you roll your B onto this one, the only thing holding your bike upright is the front wheel and forks. With the weight of a stock B....plus fuel and oil...plus accessories....plus whatever kit you typically leave behind inside your saddlebags.....I wonder what sort of stress this is going to place on your fork tubes and seals. Not to mention wheel bearings.
Certainly it would work fine in the short term....but if this is something that you'd be using on a daily basis (as I would be) over a period of years, would the added stress and wear cause earlier than normal replacement/failure rates? (I admit that I may be worried for nothing...as I often am....but I do foresee this added stress eventually causing cumulative troubles)
Most of the other dollys that I found had a pad for your kickstand. Once you rolled onto it, you put the stand down (just as you would whilst parking anywhere) and then you could roll the dolly anywhere you liked. Perfectly acceptable unless you were truly in a bind for space and absolutely had to have the small amount of added space gained by parking the bike upright.
There is one or two small format dollys that will hold your bike via the centre stand...but that is all they do: hold the pads of the centre stand with the front tire still rolling on the floor.
Wouldn't it be nice to have something as beefy as the Condor but with a plate for rolling a B onto the center stand while onboard? I'd pony up the bucks pretty quick for that. Still waiting for it to appear, though.

I have the Condor wheel chock in my motorcycle trailer and believe me when I tell you it is no cheaply built piece. This Condor is heavy constructed and definitely worth every penny you pay for it and able to handle motorcycles up to 3000 pounds so if condor is involved with this motorcycle dolly I wouldn't be scared to pay the money for it. I see the horizontal bars are triple wall so its well built and I am sure it will be a quality piece.
I also have the wheel chock and it is very well made. The Condor will hold your bike up I don't think you could drop your bike if it is in the wheel chock.Originally Posted by seadog

It's my sliding sideways skills I'd need to practice to shoehorn 650GS to the back of the garage fo0r the wimter. Depending on ease, it might also be good for turning around the F6 to drive straight out of the drive in the winter...
I have a Condor wheel chock and my B is always cradled in it. It takes less room in my garage that way. Also, my B didn't come with a center stand, but with the chock, I don't need one.
I bought an Oxbuilt dolly about a year ago. I does a very good job of turning my bike around in the limited space in my 1 car garage. It also help me put the bike in the corner of the garage for the winter. I spent around $300 for it and would recommend it. It rolls easily and has no problem with the F6B weight. I did have some trouble lining up the bike to ride onto the dolly. Then if figured out I stoped the bike and then line the dolly up to the front of the bike and then ride on.

Very cool! I've got the chock on my trailer and have been contemplating a second for the wife's scooter. The dolly has me thinking!
