Steve, thanks for that bit of information. As you stated, several phantoms have been converted to target drones. At least 3 of these remote controlled drones have crashed trying to land at nearby Tyndall Air Force Base.
JAPAN and GERMANY still fly the F4 Phantoms (take a look at the insignias .... videos below)
It's always been a favorite of mine
Easy, Easy, Easy I don't see you setting any world records or winning any purdy awards

Successful people build each other up. They motivate, inspire and push each other. Unsuccessful people just hate, blame and complain.
We had the RF4C at Shaw AFB in 65 when I was an Air Taffic Controler in the tower. One of my most favorite aircraft.

If I can't fix it, I will fix it so no one can fix it.
For me in Vietnam 67-68 the F4 was a totally beautiful site !!
F4 doing high speed fly by would rattle the tower cab, and made the most beautiful loudest noise you have heard
Now we are talking! The F4 Phantom - still my fave. Have stories and remeberances from The PI (F4C and F4D), Shaw (RF-4), Spain, Italy, Germany Turkey (F4D). Got a short ride in the backseat in the PI and no I didnt lose my cookies but it was close. Left much sweat, tears, and blood in and around that airframe. And on the downside, lost friends in crash in Spain in 79
