    My life is too valuable to save a few bucks by putting those extra miles on tires. Mine get changed when they hit the wear bars. JMHO. To each their own!

    My school of thought also. Thin tires puncture easier, when I wait a year or a lifetime for a particular ride, I don't want to be held up by a tire.

    I agree. I change tires just before the wear bars. Especially here in Florida when the summer rains come down.
    Not worth the risk. IMO
