With 12.5K miles, I checked the steering head bearings last week. Stem nut was tight. Torque wrench set at 21 lb/ft (per the manual) and it clicked before turning the nut any further so it was ok. However, the locknut was totally loose. After bending down the tabs on the retaining ring I turned the locknut another one full turn to even make contact. Cranked it down tight after checking torque on stem nut and bent the retaining ring tabs back up. Job done.

Yesterday I replaced the air filter. Yikes, big job. Six hours start to finish. Should be quicker next time but this was my first. Didn't need replacement, was barely dirty. Will let this one go 18K and change at 30K miles.
