New Bike Mp3 Rack Installed with Backrest

Here's some pix of the extended rack installed on The Red Headed Stepchild, for those considering a purchase. Really nice looking rack (yeah I know).
Some nits: Not crazy about the stainless bolts, heads are smaller than stock black and holes are quite large as well so could do with washers, but holes are not centered so they won't fit. Gonna need to find some caps for the holes to hide them.
Overall nice job by Pete and I'm quite pleased. Comments?

Thanks for the feedback amongst the many things we discovered during this project was that maybe not so much with the backrest in place but the factory mounts are somewhat variable hence the slotted holes, also really hard to find black screws that a supplier would guarantee would not corrode on us very quickly, Honda uses some exotic process that nobody was able supply anything suitable in the time we allowed so for now its stainless hardware.

we had hoped to find some bolts with larger heads but if anyone feels they need some washers I am happy to mail some out to you.

I may look into some rubber caps to drop into the holes to hide the mounts.

    Overall I am pretty happy.

    Pete, nice work.

Looks like F6B owners will have several options for a replacement rack.

That looks AWESOME! When did you get it? I'm waiting on mine. Maybe today?

Do you think the screw heads are going to be an issue with a loaded rack?

I love how it looks like the factory rack but it's wider. It will look really good with my wide Baggershield. Can't wait to get it!

The screw heads are well below the level of the load deck they will be nowhere near anything

He said the heads are small compared to the hole size. That's what I was referring to.
