No, the ones I mean are lower.....just to the front of the radiator vents on the side of the fairing.
Vertical Lights
Those are LED strips. I installed mine at Daytona Bikeweek. They fit in the recesses in the fairing on both sides, which seemed useless to me. I use them as running lights. They remind me of lights on BMW K1600GTL and new Yamaha FJR1300. I think they finish off the front of the bike nicely:

The vendor that installs these cut them to size, they fit perfectly in these recesses.
Yes they are nice…Wal Mart is now caring a nice selection on LED’s ……I got mine installed at Bike MP3 !!!

I want to do it myself, any info on how to access the "inside" of the front cover, so I can install the two LED stripes ?
i just did mine and dint remove side covers .
all i did was loosing up 3 push ping on the opposite side of the side covers and give me enough slack to work with and run wires
