Is the aux cable a stereo or mono cable? Radio Shack sells both.

Stereo, if you plan on plugging into a mp3 player or phone for music.

Look at the plug. if it has one ring dividing it into two sections it is a mono adapter. If it has two rings dividing it into three sections it is a stereo adapter (Left + right + ground).

Also, if the plug is not completely plugged in, you'll get a similar effect. A lot of plugs have the feel of being completely seated when they are not.

Looks like it was the cable from radioshack. I just realized tht Zumo 665 has separate audio output cable that is very close to AUX cable in left box. Looks like I didn't need that cable from Radioshack after all.

ANyway I'll be droppig my bike at dealer next week. They are going to hide all my wires and make it look good. The way they have put it now is pinching the cables when I get into turns. Couple cables are already pinched.

    Thanks

    Thumb Drive

So for those of you who know more than a 63 year old analog guy. Can I just buy a thumb drive, load music off my computer and plug it into the USB port and get get actual music out in West Texas where there are no connections to anything?

You can. It's probably best if you organize it by genre or album or artist or something -- each getting their own folder. Only go one folder deep though. That's what I've found best.
