    Honda Goldwing Recall

Saw yesterday on the Internet Honda is recalling over 126,000 Goldwings from 2001-2010 and 2012 models for rear brake issues...No mention of the 2013 or later models..Just curious if this recall will affect the F6B or later model GW's....Anyone know or hear anything, other than what Honda has said??...I suppose if later models are included, Ma Honda will notify the owners.....

If you are referring to the recall from December 2011 (old recall) .... It's not going to effect the 2013's or 2014's

I have yet to take my Goldwing in for this recall, I don't have any issues with my brakes.

If you look at the Honda recall page, this seems to be an older recall, they just added (some of) the 2012 models to the recall, nothing on the 2013 or 2014 models though.

I look there once a week or so just to see when they decide to recall my paint job!

So the Original Recall didn't appear to resolve the issue

    It's a follow-up recall

This is a second recall, for apparently the same problem.

It affects the years mentioned and is only for GL1800 and GL1800A, since, of course, GL1800B (F6B) didn't arrive on the scene until 2013.

They may have detirmined another manner of diagnosis.

There are 2nd hand reports of the issue being seen on later models (2014)

One surefire fix would be to remove the crosslinking of the brakes... but that would be too embarrassing for Honda.

Personally that would suck. I love the linked brakes. My B has the best brakes of any big bike I know. I hardly ever have to touch the foot brake.

George - may you provide a link to these new reports? I searched yesterday and did not see anything for '13 or '14.
    Thanks,
    Steve
