2018 Rally Location ---> POLL

Like to see points out west again. Not so far west as Colorado goes... but it’s close.

Btw... someone remarked in this thread to “put that in your pipe and smoke it”.

Been a long time..... but Rocky Mountain High ain’t bad... if you know what I mean... and it’s not like the local po-po is up in arms about it out there.

I chuckle every time the talk is about “west coast” and the location is Colorado. Maybe there should have been locations actually on the west coast, ie California, Oregon, or Washington. Some great riding out there on the “west coast”, whereas Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and New Mexico are the Rockies. Just saying!

As I see it in the poll there are three more or less specific locations and and a choice for anywhere. Stopover Ky. is about as far east as you can go in KY. and it is about 450 miles from the closest spot on the coast. Cherokee NC. at the east end of the Smokies is about 475 miles from the coast. the closest Co. comes to the coast is about 1,000 miles. So saying any of these choices is east or west coast is a long stretch. 500 miles is more than most people want to ride in a day, so getting to any of them from a coast is probably a multi-day trip for most attendees. The Smoky Mountains are by far the smallest area of the three named choices. All three named choices have great riding opportunities to recommend them. Attempting to keep the rally in one part of the country or another will always exclude some of the greater community, while moving locations will exclude others sometimes. The F6B will take you anywhere in the lower 48 in less than two days if you have the will to make it do so. Not going someplace because it is just too far is just an excuse. If you can take five to nine days for the rally you could attend regardless of location. Work, money and other obligations will always be a roadblock for some. Lets just pick one the spots mentioned in the poll and go from there.

Phantom is correct...........which reminds me........I played poker nightly in college. IF only I could have added a few aces to every hand, Crown Royal would have been in my glass instead of Canadian Mist and often POPOV Vodka .........just sayin'

53Driver cleaned up and removed a few posts a few weeks ago and I cleaned up a few today. That is what we do.
Seems like its always the same individuals. No need to Hijack the thread or disrupt the outcome. Wrong place for DRAMA.

If anyone is going to accuse me of not being fair, accuse me of wrong doing and start childish name calling ... sorry this is not the place and we have no need for you.

We are adults, grow-up and start acting your age and not your shoe size. This forum has been a class act from it's inception simply because of how it has been managed and how well the vast majority of members treat each other with respect. This is a ALL are welcomed Rally, not a exclusive only sub-group Rally. If there is any part of this that anyone does not understand, shoot me a private message and I will gladly explain. A few select individuals feel the need to disrupt what we have always done in the BEST interest for all. Rallies require a lot of time, financial resources and dedication. Some will never appreciate what some of us do so that attendees can have a enjoyable time wherever the Rally is held. I am not a miracle worker and will never be able to please everyone, but it's not because I didn't try.
