Yes, we will most likely take the southeastern bypass around Atlanta, jump on I-85 and then veer off on to 985

Those of us....(I guess that is only me)...that do not live in the southeast corner of these United States...have to leave much earlier than a week from now. The local gang has less than 1000 miles to ride to get to Franklin, whereas I have 2800 miles to ride to get there, and I hope that someone is going to buy me an Iced Tea when I get there.

    Cool

Big Dawg will be leading our " spirited " ride each day...should coincide as far as dinner dates go...no site seeing just some great back roads ... these rides will be leaving at 0900 as well unless that group makes other plans...Jimmy has been riding and living in the area for many years and will take you on the roads only the locals know.... if you can ride the twisty's , this will be a great riding.....

I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you and doin' some ridin'. It will be especially fun to get back on the Dragon. The last bike I rode through there was a Valkyrie several years ago.

Speaking of the Dragon...I took the Bike Safe North Carolina course this morning. It was divided between class time and riding time. They showed quite a few videos of accidents and it was interesting that several of these were taken from the Dragon. It's just a reminder that something so much fun can also be dangerous if not taken seriously. All of you ride safe to Franklin! See you there, Lord willing! --Ken B.

I hope to be able to meet up on Saturday at the Wheels through time museum.

Please have safe rides into the area, and watch for police. They are getting heavy in the area due to more and more accidents and fatalities this year.

Also anyone new to riding in the area be sure to ride at your own comfort level. These mountain roads can be different with off camber and surprising switchbacks, and with all the rain we have been seeing there is a lot of debris and rock slides as well.
