Of course, mine is built on a PCB and we would need an LED strip with the electronics module mounted remotely. Could be a future project.

If you search on E-bay night rider light you have companies selling a nice inclosed clean light red color that will strobe back and forth
I plan on a 2014 F6b in the future to keep my 2012 Wing company. My Wing has the same shape front as the F6B. I have the chrome lower nose piece with LEDs installed. The LEDs there and on most other lighting have a transparent plastic cover over the LED assemblies. I looked at the strips at "Auto Zone" yesterday. One package was open so I examined it carefully. Huston I may see a couple of problemsSo I saw someone had them and thought wow that's pretty cool. Since I'm a pretty industrious guy I thought I bet I could make those myself for next to nothing. Low and behold I think i was right.
Parts needed. the 2 mini LED light strips from just about any auto parts retailer (I went to Autozone) for about $15 and some wire. I have the accessory outlet so I just tapped into the power and ground from there so when the key is on they are on.
Simple instructions:
Mark out with a pencil or permanent marker through the openings onto the black plastic dust cover behind the "hood". I used some blue painters tape to outline where I had to stick the new LED's.
Pop the front cover off and stick the LED's on
Run wires over to the accessory area under the left pocket and wire up.
Zip tie as needed. I added a couple zip ties to the LED's as well just to make sure if the tape ever started to lift up.
Job done in about 30 minutes for less than $20.
Don't mind the foam, the windshield was squeaking for some reason so I "fixed" it lol.
The clear covering on the strip is a sticky clear heat-shrink type affair. I don't know if it can be wiped off. It may be a major problem for those that ride in the evening through swarms of insects or during the day when Love Bugs are active (like I have to deal with near the Everglades).
It may be wise to for someone to find some sort of plastic to seal around the inside of the cover having the vent slits to protect the LED strips from bugs. I don't think anyone wants to remove the upper cowl part to clean the LED strips every time bugs are encountered.
The other problem is most strips have marks where you may cut the LED strips to any length. These strips I looked at were made in China. They instruct you to seal any where you cut with silicone sealant. Not a good Idea. Silicone sealant releases acetic acid. The acid fumes eat copper strips.
I think RTV being oxygen sensor safe or something similar to Goop would be better if you need to cut a strip. It looks like one 24" strip could be cut and do both vent slits. The strips have copper pads at the cut lines for soldering and are marked + and (-) so you know (-) would be ground for the second strip
